WATER TRAIL

2026 Edition

Miami Dade College – West Campus and the Doral International Art Fair present "Water Trail", a collective exhibition bringing together the works of Julia Zurilla, Emilia Martín Fierro, Zura Lagarde, Samara Ash, and Alexandra de Yavorsky, curated by Félix Suazo

An invitation to engage with contemporary art through diverse perspectives and sensibilities centered around water. What does water leave behind as it passes?

A Celebration of Art, Community, and Hispanic Heritage

Marking the inauguration of the art season in Doral and framed within Hispanic Heritage Month, the opening of Water Trail brought together artists, art enthusiasts, and community leaders for a memorable evening of dialogue between art, education, and culture.

During the event, the City of Doral—represented by Mayor Christi Fraga and Councilman Rafael Pineyro—presented official recognitions to the five participating artists for their outstanding careers and significant contributions to the cultural and educational development of Doral.

The honorees were Julia Zurilla, Emilia Martín Fierro, Zura Lagarde, Alexandra de Yavorsky, and Samara Ash.

The ceremony was also accompanied by Dr. Beverly Moore-Garcia, President of Miami Dade College – West Campus, and Jesús Alberto Fuenmayor, Executive Director of the DIAF, alongside members of the organizing committee, reinforcing the ongoing bond between artistic creation, institutional education, and the local community—a true tribute to those who continuously enrich our city’s cultural landscape.

We extend our special gratitude to the City of Doral, CCE Miami, MoCAA, and the Doral Family Journal, whose invaluable support makes this cultural convergence possible.
